Sofia Coppola curates a 448 web page visible story of Chanel couture from Gabrielle to Viard, out worldwide this September.

Chanel has introduced the discharge of CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE, a e book edited by Sofia Coppola in collaboration with the home and Éditions 7L.
The filmmaker’s relationship with Chanel started when she was fifteen, spending a summer season contained in the creation studio at rue Cambon. That early internship set the tone for a protracted change that would come with many years of tasks and private ties. This new e book is the newest chapter, one formed by Coppola’s instinctive method to collage and storytelling.




Throughout 448 pages, CHANEL HAUTE COUTURE brings collectively archival images, not often seen sketches, runway photos, and behind the scenes materials. The timeline runs from Gabrielle Chanel’s earliest collections via Karl Lagerfeld’s period and into Virginie Viard’s current. Buddies of the home and fashions from every decade seem within the designs, captured by main photographers of their time.

The design was conceived with Anamaria Morris for Joseph Logan Design, with co-publication by Éditions 7L and Vital Flowers, Coppola’s imprint at MACK. Each element, from pacing to structure, displays a thought-about remedy of the archive.
